Experiencer Is Now Available to Watch
We’re excited to officially announce that Experiencer was released on November 7 and is now available to rent or purchase online.
After years of filming, editing, and careful consideration, we’re finally sharing this film with the world.
Experiencer is a feature-length documentary that explores one of the most overlooked aspects of the UFO and UAP conversation: the people who have actually lived it. While recent years have brought renewed public attention to the topic, the experiences themselves didn’t begin there. For more than 80 years, individuals have reported encounters that changed their lives in profound and lasting ways. Those stories continue today.
At the center of the film is Eric Mitchell, whose close encounters with unexplained phenomena led to years of fear, isolation, and personal upheaval. Through firsthand testimony, archival footage, animation, and visual storytelling, Experiencer examines what happens after an encounter and the long-term emotional, psychological, and social impact it can have. This is not a film focused on proving or disproving UFOs. It is a film about what it means to live with something that cannot be explained and cannot be ignored.
The documentary was filmed over several years beginning in 2020 and was independently produced and funded by three people: Ben Jinkins and Joe Strelsky of the UFO Garage Podcast, and filmmaker Nicco Renna. The film is directed and produced by Nicco Renna, Ben Jinkins, and Joe Strelsky, with the goal of creating a grounded, respectful portrayal of experiencers without sensationalism or ridicule.
In addition to Eric Mitchell, the film features Melinda Leslie, Jim Goodall, Lorien Fenton, and Erin Montgomery, along with other experiencers and voices from the community.
Early festival feedback and viewer responses have highlighted the film’s emotional honesty, technical quality, and respectful approach to a topic that is often misunderstood or dismissed.
